Moving to the city meant apartment living, niche restaurants, public transit, bike paths, dog parks, farmers markets, book clubs, and catching your breath at the end of each day.
In the country our dogs run free in the backyard, we eat at Applebees, bike on the sidewalk, get our produce from my grandfather, women read romance novels, everyone owns a SUV, boat and truck, and everything moves at the pace of the breeze. Nice and slow.
Life moves in a new way these days, and I am torn between my two worlds. I want a huge garden, but settle for my patio pots. I love the busy schedule in the city, but need to take time out to relax and visit family in the country. High end restaurants sit on each corner waiting to be experienced, but most nights I want to make a comfort food that reminds me of home.
Each day is a new adventure in the city and I am embracing every day, drinking in the culture, change and life. I love to cook, bake, garden, read, travel, experience new things and keep myself as busy as humanly possible. Life is different each day, and I am sharing it with you.
